Yoga and Your Anatomy

Whether you practice yoga sporadically or faithfully, and no matter the style, yoga is an incredibly centering and joyful practice, especially when you’re aware of the impact it is having. This workshop will help demystify what is happening in your body when you practice yoga. You’ll learn about joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones, with emphasis on how slight differences in the shapes of bones impacts what you can safely do on your mat. You will learn and feel when it is safe to go deeper and when it is time to stay where you are or back off. This is a participatory class, so please bring a yoga mat, and either a blanket or thick towel.
